America on the move ... |
Even though we don't have our normal daily routines to remind us of when and where we are in the scheme of time, the evidence of commerce puts it in perspective for us. |
From Texas to Oklahoma City -- a short day's drive. |
The terrain changed. |
From arid scrub brush, we began to see farm land. |
At a rest stop, we were treated to ground cover of violet flowers. Behind the rest stop, we saw a corral. |
| We passed many farms. |
Green is coming. |
We pass many farm houses on I40. The homes and barns are often surrounded by a stand of trees. Not only would the trees provide shade and comfort, but perhaps some shelter from the highway. We were able to get a good view of this particular farm. |
We wonder if Tim McVay drove this same road 5 years ago. We
wonder how anyone could want to damage this peaceful place or its
inhabitants. Is it up to one man, or a handful of men, to take
retribution on an innocent place, even if the government makes a
dreadful mistake?
