A Roesner Family Photo Album

Oklahoma City

Back

Saturday in Oklahoma City

Today we went grocery shopping at the Wal-Mart in Oklahoma City. It's a Superstore and is open 24 hours a day. My nephew, Jeff, tells me there are two other Wal-Marts in the area that are open 24 hours. He goes to school in Kansas and is disappointed that they close at 10:00 p.m. there. The store was really huge and we found nearly everything we were looking for.

My brother and his bride-to-be came over and had lunch with us. We fixed sloppy joes -- an easy meal to cook in an RV. Jeff, my nephew, and Tim, my brother's former brother-in-law, came shortly after we ate and we spent the afternoon going through old photo albums, having a great time. Our trip down memory lane was a lot of fun for our three generations.

Later, Jeff's other grandparents came to pick him up and we captured a nice picture of the group. A digital camera is a nice thing to carry around.

Cats are mellowing and settling in as though this is the only home they've ever had. Even Shebet, the cat who jumps six feet into the air when she sees her own shadow, is curious about the goings on around us and enjoyed having company this afternoon.
