Click on the book titles at the top to read entire books free. Scroll down several pages to get to main text, since you encounter preliminary pages and blank pages, as you would in physical bound paper books. One might purchase my paperbacks at my online bookstore at www.lulu.com/lloydmiller. That is for those who can easily afford to purchase new books, and who, after reading a book, find it so terrific and worthwhile, that they would want to be able to read any part of it at their convenience. I don't know whether there would be any such people. But I would want anyone to have easy and free access to the books, which can be accomplished online, particularly those pertaining directly to the main theme and point of this website, not so much the mathematics, for the purpose of developing and furthering the world-wide "friendly activist movement." In fact, the books themselves may not be so important or essential, but might be helpful in getting across what the movement is about, by reading enough to get the general idea, making friendly connections with people. In my writing, for one, I try to answer the obvious objections people have to such an idea, and try to explain how the idea is a realistic and practical idea.

I intend, at this time, to add to this website, a bit at a time, to make it current. The books named above had already been completed and published with Lulu, my print-on-demand publisher, before I got the idea for this website. But at present, it is my intention to continue with my writing, primarily if not exclusively, directly related to the "friendly movement", and to put this writing while in progress, directly on this free website. In short, this will be my way of communicating my ideas, as well as expressing myself to you, and relating to you. You might, of course, email or give me a call, at your discretion, keeping in mind that I'm only one person trying to develop and further the friendly relationships between people generally. I need your help in doing this. I, myself, obviously, cannot get to know and relate to millions of individual people the world over. But by making contact where we can, according to reason, we have to work out our relationships over time, but in such a way as to have positive and beneficial effects on our lives and on the whole world society of which we are a part. I hope that reading my writing, the books named above, and the future writings which I intend to put directly on this website, will help to make clearer and more realistic and practical, just what this is all about.

Current Talk

Why do I have a book about mathematics on this website? That's because I wrote it, I studied mathematics at one time, I had those thoughts, it has or at least did have, some meaning to me, and because that, added to the fact that we relate to one another as we are, through our real thoughts, by having some exchange of our real selves, results in my giving you my book, i.e. my thoughts and ideas, about mathematics. We do not expect or desire that we all have the same kind of relationship to each person. That would, of course, be ridiculous and unrealistic. This friendly activist movement is supposed to be entirely realistic and practical. We are attempting to make it so. Thus, you are expected to relate to mathematics, or not relate to it, as you normally would. Like you, and like everyone, I have some relationships based on common interests, such as, for example, mathematics or chess, although in fact, the great majority of those I know and am friendly with, have no interest in mathematics or chess. We want to try to be friendly however we can, to people, as people, generally. We all, actually, have much in common. Thus, the mathematics on this website is incidental, not the main point. It's just that some of you might be interested in it. That's the way relationships work, each in his own way. I have a philosophy about friendly relationships, but I relate to you in any number of ways, as myself, anything about myself, not just through philosophical discussion. We apply the philosophy in our relationships, but we are not always talking philosophy. I happen to have had, and probably still do in some way, some connection to mathematics, and I'm letting you know this about myself, even if you are not interested in it, yourself. Anything about me might enter into this website, since it has to do with my relationship to you, to people generally, which I am attempting to make, in the sense that I am attempting to get across to you on this website, a friendly relationship.
