� Required for a 100% grade � Perfect Dress Out record, excused absences must be made up (maximum of 5 absences) depending on the circumstances it will be teacher�s discretion, 100% in written/skills tests.  A 500 word minimum report on subject to be decided by teacher, e.g., FITNESS FOR LIFE, if test/exam score is lower than 100%, not including the make-up for the 5 excused absences.
Class attendance, dressing in P.E./GYM attire and daily participation are required for points and final grade. Written/skills tests and teacher-selected written assignments also included in final grade.
Required for passing grade (60%), no more than �25 points accumulated through attendance,  participation, non-dresses, and 60% or better on written/skills tests.
Points lost because of not dressing (ND) cannot be made up.  It is departmental policy that any student not dressed 8 times in a quarter will receive a failing grade.
Points lost because of Suspensions, excused and/or pre-arranged absences, Field Trips and/or excused tardys can be made up.  It is the STUDENTS� responsibility to make arrangements with the teacher for make-up work or extra credit. 
A written report on any sports/health related subject at 150 words a point (300 words for absence) or run the necessary laps as described earlier on make-up work for suspensions, excused/pre-arranged absences, Field Trips, and/or excused tardys may be used for make-up and/or extra credit.  See Make-up/Extra Credit  work table above for other ways to make up minus points.                                                                    

***Deadline for make-up work is two weeks prior to the end of the quarter, unless prior arrangements are made with the teacher.

SEMESTER GRADES: The semester grade is the average of the two quarters, but if the student fails 2nd or 4th quarter, they will receive the failing grade for their semester grade.

CITIZENSHIP MARK
Students will receive a mark of �U� (Unsatisfactory) for Citizenship in a quarter for the following: Here  are a some unacceptable behaviors:
  * Inappropriate language/gestures/behavior.
  * Five (5) unexcused absences or more in a quarter/10 unexcused absences or more in a semester.
  * Four (4) or more non-dress (ND) or non-participation (DNP) days in a quarter.
  * Four (4) or more unexcused tardys in a quarter.
  * Not getting along with others in class.
  * Fighting in class.
  * Skipping.
  * Insubordination; continued willful disobedience.
  * Talking when you should be listening or taking notes.
  * Interrupting or disturbing class instruction or activity.
  * Not following instructions and/or directions.
  * Excessive talking and complaining.
  * Disrespectful to teachers, staff, and classmates and peers.
  * Cheating in written/skills tests, assignments, or class work.
  * Not trying, or lazy.
  * And other Prohibited behavior in Student Handbook.
