I have matriculated from the Master’s program into the PhD. program at USC, meaning I get two muffins at our mixers instead of one. I am in a new apartment which is biking distance from campus, saving me oodles of money in gasoline, which should reach 1lb. of pure gold per gallon in about two weeks. I have little time for updates, what with all the public appearances, celebrity endorsements, and Matt Damon calling me constantly to get my secrets with the ladies. But such is the life of an academician ...

It’s been a while, but that is because it’s been a busy semester. The biggest news is that this site has been moved from AOL Members to Yahoo! Geocities. My parents dropped the AOL account, so I needed a new free location for the site. Except for the annoying advertisement to the right, this is a nice new home. Other good news is that I have passed the Master’s comprehensive exam, and I am one semester away from finishing my MA in English at USC. All I have left to do is write a Master’s thesis (piece of cake).

I updated my personal page with more detailed info on me. I also made a few minor changes to the professional page. Still no guestbook.

At the recommendation of my friends Dianna Targett and Alicia Phillip I have added a guestbook to my website. It has taken the place of the Writings page, which all of you should thank me for. Unfortunately, I don’t yet know how to create a guestbook, so you won’t be able to actually sign it for a while. However, if you e-mail me then I can post whatever you want up there until I get a working guestbook up.

The beach was fun, I got slightly burned, and a little more slightly drunk. Unfortunately, the burn lasted longer than the buzz. I started a new job last week as an Editorial Assistant. You can read all about it on my Professional page, which has now been updated. After a few more modifications, I will move on to the Personal page. Far down the road I hope to put up a guestbook for all ten of my friends to sign.

I'M DONE! I'm finished. My first year of graduate schoolor as I like to call it, the continuous series of blows to my ego and self-respectis over. I survived the end of the semester (aka the Pervading Sense of Dread) with few bruises and I think I earned all passing grades. So as I type this I am downing a Miller High Life and Saturday I will be lounging on Folly Beach drinking more of the same. Expect more updates in the weeks to come.

I added a cool new divider to each page (I made it myself), and made a few other small editorial changes.

My site has undergone a facelift! Isn’t it really frickin’ cool? In all likelihood, there will not be many updates in the coming weeks, but what you see here is the basic layout of my web site. Most pages are empty right now, but you’ll just have to deal with it. I have three novels to read this week.
