The big sea-kayak race is today! Hooray! Shira's hubby, who works at the hotel, is competing! This was one of the biggest kayak races in the world, so people came from all over!
The weather was pretty rough, due to a typhoon passing close by, but the race went off. Kylie really enjoyed watching the brightly colored kayaks go by.
In the afternoon, it was really rainy and windy, so we just stayed in the hotel and relaxed. It was nice. Toward the evening, we went into town for the celebration and awards ceremony. But Kylie fell asleep in the car on the way, and didn't wake up until we got back to the hotel 4 hours later! As far as she was concerned, she got in the car, it moved around, and we came back. It was pretty funny. |
