CONTACT SAM CRUISE
The Creators of Skool Daze and Bak 2 Skool always seemed to be able to make good games, and this semi sequal to the skool games doesnt ruin the good name.

The game plays like a good Detective novel or movie, with you in control of Sam Cruise the hero of the story.
With the plot taking its cues from various Noir type detective movies and Raymond Chandler Novels, you would expect quite a deep game, and you would be right in thinking that.

The game is view from the side, very similar to Skool Daze in terms of graphics.
But thats really where the similarities stop, with this game offering a lot more depth and storyline than the school based game.
When you start playing you will notice the different icons that pop up on the screen whilst you are walking around, these are related to certain objects like Phones, lights and fuse boxes, all of which can and will be needed during the game.

As Sam you must solve a case, which will take you all through the streets and buildings of this city, where you will find dead bodies and criminals, whilst looking for clues you will also have to avoid being arrested by the police or getting 'offed' by the local Mafia.
The game really does offer a lot of gameplay, and can seem quite difficult on first few plays.
The first section alone, where you must get to the top of an hotel and find a dead body, only to find you've been framed and the police are on their way.

Luckily you carry a set of disguises,as any good detective would, these can give you a bit of time to escape from the police.

During the game it is a very good idea to have a pen and paper available, so that you can keep a note on all the various clues and phone numbers that you will find over the time.
The game has a clever way of using cash as an energy meter, if you run out of money then its game over, sometimes you will find money as part of your case, other times its floating around the screen and you must pull off a nice somersault to pick it up.

If you get arrested you will need to pay bail, which takes your cash levels down very low.
Overall this is a great game, which will take hours of your life, and is a worthy succesor to the Skool Daze games.
