DSL update.

The situation is just about as bad as I can imagine: the DSL broker that my ISP was using went quietly bankrupt at some point and was split into a tiny zillion pieces which went skittering off into the void. Whoever had my particular circuit finally turned it off. The ISP is trying to get another DSL circuit but there is no estimated time until it's up.

The Chieftains didn't make it into The Lord of the Rings (although Paddy Moloney is about as as Hobbit-like a human as I've ever seen), but one of their album covers would not have been completely amiss in the storyboards:
