St. Dennis Island

"So we sailed unto the sun, till we found a Sea of Green"... The Beatles

The Island is located in the Sea of Green.  It is divided between East and West by the Clandestine Forest in conjunction with Pond Creek and Mt. Flushmore, the  highest point on the island at 1016 feet.  The Pond is commonly known as The Gator Pond, although no alligators have ever been found there.  This misnomer is a result of the rumors propagated by the former landowners in an effort to dissuade the work force in the civil sector from venturing to the private side.  This workforce is rotated in four week cycles so that every week one fourth is rotated back home to the mainland.  Utilities, security, and grounds keeping are maintained by this group while staying in hi-rise accommodations.  Wildlife management is provided by a mainland University group free of charge.  In fact, they reimburse us for personal services by the staff  during their occasional stays, which usually last about a week or ten days.  The Estate Personal Staff also lives in the civil sector.  This staff includes cooks, drivers, maids, pilots, mechanics, dog handlers, etc.

The Dirigible Mooring has not been used for many decades. It is being refurbished for use with my new Blimp, now under construction in a hangar outside Darmstadt, Germany. There it is being outfitted with a variety of electronic gear in addition  to comfortable quarters for 8 passengers and 5 crew.  The dirigible will be capable of staying aloft 10 days at a time before landing  for provisions and fuel. Secure access to the Mooring site, as well as to the Motor Speedway and Airstrip, is granted across a series of bridges.

The Estate is located at the southwestern tip of the island.  A natural inlet was extended to create the sheltered marina. At the south edge of the Clandestine Forest, where land meets the sea, is a sandy beach known as Turtle Beach.  Another noteworthy natural formation is the odd shaped rock outcropping on the south coast called  "Pig's Head".  The High Cliffs on the northeast coast are riddled with caves.

To the west, about one mile offshore, is found The Wicked Isles, a series of small islands reputed to formerly contain  a series of private brothels maintained by Old World pirates.
