| � Born in Chicago, IL August 8, 1953 � Attended Mundelein College 1971-1972 (fall and winter quarters) � Married October 28, 1971 to a Greek national � Spent a year learning to speak modern Greek � Applied to St. Xavier College in Chicago (1977) � Completed a bachelor degree August, 1979, in psychology � Worked with a doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago as a research assistant (1980-1981) � Was hired for a graduate assistant position in the psychology department at CSU (1980) � Initiated course work toward a master degree program at CSU in Counseling (1980) � Left the university to fill a position with the family business (1981) � Worked as secretary/treasurer (December,1980-present) � Started family 1984 � Mother of four; one daughter born, December, 1984; one son and two daughters born December, 1986 � Involved with the Blue Cap organization as the parent of a child born with special needs; in particular at the Infant-Parent Center 1987-1989 � Served as a member of a school district committee working on liaisons with community agencies, parents and the school district to involve parents � Volunteered several days a week at the local elementary school (Hazelgreen Elementary) and at a sister school (Stony Creek Elementary). � Member of the Hazelgreen Elementary School Improvement Program Committee � Volunteered with the Junior Achievement Program for two years presenting classes on economics to elementary school classes � Volunteered with the Parent Booster Organization at Prairie Junior High � Was a member of the school district discipline committee � Worked as a substitute teacher at Hazelgreen Elementary School � Worked part-time as a special education teaching assistant (paraprofessional) and inside substitute teacher (2000-2002) � Started working as a teaching assistant in the special education department at Alan B.
