My favourite bands/groups/singers

A nineteen year old American teenage rock singer who's been around for nearly a year now! Her first, and only album so far is Let Go, which did pretty well over here in England.

Sugababes:www.sugababes.com
I have liked the Sugababes ever since they released their first song, Overload in the year 2000? They've now become more R'n'B/Pop, rather than Indie/Pop, but I still think they're great! The best song on their first album is "One Touch" and I think that "Switch" on their second album "Angels With Dirty Faces" is wicked too.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: www.redhotchilipeppers.com
They're a rock band for sure, maybe indie too? Well yeah, they're somewhere in the  "Rock" CD section of HMV and Virgin! I've heard of this band since I was....phf, yeah, I've just always known them (!) but I haven't really paid attention to them until a few years ago. They're cool; I especially like their songs "Can't Stop" and "The Zephyr Song" which are both featured on their most recent album, "By The Way".

The Calling: www.thecallingband.com
An American pop/rock band, who made their debut in England with the song "Wherever You Will Go". Their newest song, "For You" is the main theme tune to the new film "Daredevil"

The Dum Dums: www.dumdums.com
They are classic to me! =D I love these guys, ever since they first started in 1999 up to when they split up in 2001. They're a rock/pop band who only released one album, but it was excellent!

Vanessa Carlton: www.vanessacarlton.com
I can't really define Vanessa Carlton as any particular category. You'd probably say she's pop, but you just cannot compare her to the likes of Blue or Atomic Kitten, and defining her music as "pop" music is down-grading her. She plays the piano in all of her songs, and her songs seem to have more meaning and emotion than some of the crap you hear in the music business nowadays.

Evanescence: www.evanescence.com
They define themselves as "definitely a rock band, but the twist is that the band's music is epic, dramatic, dark rock." which I think sounds pretty cool =) To me, they're like some kind of heavy metal rock band mixed in with a bit of Vanessa Carlton and her piano, only darker, and the lead singer, Amy Lee, has the coolest voice! It's like an angel 0=)
