to the Lord}

23~~HOW can
you say {sarcastic},
I am not
unclean {after their soapy bath},
I have not
chased after Baalim?
{idolatry - plural - all aspects of the Phallic Cult's worship of
Baal -
usually
3 idols involved}?
'take a
look'/study your way in the valley
{valley
of Hinnom outside Jerusalem - their worst place of idolatry
with
orgies during human sacrifices burning in a furnace - it was so
bad,
they finally called it Ge-hinnom, which became gehenna - a
name
for hell'},
and know what
you
have
manufactured {out of negative volition} {'asah}.

You move
swiftly {in the direction of a lust - something you want}
like a female
camel in heat . . .
crisscrossing
her ways {to mate with all the male camels she can};
{Note: In a caravan, when a young female camel goes in heat, she goes from one male to another and messes up all the camels in the caravan - all the male camels. This is an illustration of what the Jews are doing. They are upsetting everything to run to satisfy their lust - mainly of fornication (sex in connection with false worship) here.}

24~~{Quadruped
first} Like a wild she-ass
accustomed to
the desert {used to roaming free},
that in her
uncontrollable sexual lust pants at the wind
{she is in
heat - panting from her insatiable desire and
sniffing the wind for the scent of a male-ass}.

- analogy moves to a nymphomaniac}
In her
{ta'anah word only used referring to a human female}
sexual lust
{frustrated by not having her RM; sublimates in sex with anyone}
who shall
satisfy it {her strong sexual craving}?

her RM can! And for Judea that would be Jesus Christ as God
of Israel}
All they that

man can NOT satisfy - will wear themselves out -

analogy 'no false idol will satisfy the need for their Right God'};
Yet, in her

point of strong lust}
they always
acquire her

of insatiability - the nympho goes through periods of strong
lust -
she becomes a sexual slave of all men that come to her}.
{Note: A female camel in heat is bad, but a she-ass in heat is worse. She has no baggage on her back (like kids or a husband!). So she is loose and 'fancy free'. The female ass in heat is used as an analogy for a promiscuous woman who does not have her RM and becomes sexually frustrated and sleeps with anyone. She is never satisfied. And, in idolatry, Judea will always be frustrated without their Right God.}

25~~Refuse/withhold
your foot
from being
unshod {don't sublimate with fornication},
and your
throat from thirst {don't sublimate with alcohol}
but you said,
" 'I am despondent'/'There is no hope'

right man/right woman relationship because of mental attitude

No, for I have loved
'those {many
lovers/idols}
who have
turned out to be loathsome/nauseous',
and after them
will I go
{expression of no improvement (good change) in her volitional
choices}."
{Note: When a Right Woman is angry with her Right Man, many times she from her own volition decides to make him pay by doing exactly what she knows will hurt him the most - adultery usually works! This is called 'reverse process reversionism'. Under RPR, you hurt the one you love and are upset with. Analogy is still RM/RW to demonstrate what Judea is doing to their Right God - turning to spiritual adultery. It destroys their relationship.}

26-27~~As the
thief . . .

ashamed'/'shame/confusion/disgrace' {bosheth}
when he is found,
so is the
house of Israel is ashamed {yabesh};
they {people},
their kings
{last 4 kings before the 5th cycle of discipline},
their princes
{men
who administer and rule under the kings - judges police chief,
etc.},
and their
priests
{spiritual leadership - communicators of written Word},
and their prophets
{communicators of spoken Word (while gift still active -
prophet
was temporary gift and ended in the Church Age)}, 27~~
saying to a
piece of wood {a wooden idol},
you . . .
{are} my father;
and to a stone
{used in false worship also},
you have
brought me forth
{are
the source of their origin - owe their life and being to the
stone!};
for they have
turned their back unto Me
{negative volition to RM/God},
and not their face
{no
positive volition to RM/God and so void of doctrine in their soul,
they
attribute their very being to false gods!}.
But in the
time of their trouble
they {Jews in
distress} will say,
Get out of bed
{implying God was asleep! Putting the blame on God! haha}
and cause us
to be delivered/saved
{and
this is an order/demand!}.
{Note: Bosheth here is a noun and has 4 meaning. All are applicable here. 1) Shame is the attitude of believer minus doctrine, no occupation with Christ and he falls apart - and has shame. Confusion describes how he feels when he is caught. Disgrace is the feeling similar to the woman caught in adultery. Bosheth is also used for 'idol'. Here it represents the frustration that comes to idol worshipers.}

Apostasy's Self-Inflicted Misery}
29-30~~"Therefore,
why do you complain against Me?
You all have
transgressed against Me! ",

"In vain/meaninglessness,

disciplined your children;

no correction.

{Note: The qishshur was a 'belt' worn around the middle of a bride. It gave the wedding robe style and all brides wore a version of these 'ornamental belts/girdles'}

of Love}
33~~"How
good/nice you make your way . . .
to strive to
gain love.
{more
sanctified sarcasm - Jews are trying to 'gain love' through
idolatry . . . only through the study of His Word can you have the
capacity to have true love}
Therefore you
have actually trained/accustomed
your ways to a
principal of evil!
{the
more you try to find happiness outside of love for God, the
more
your frustration becomes. There is no substitute for the
intake
of the Word of God.}
{Verses 34:37:
Result of Judea's Unfaithfulness to God - Effect on the Land and Individuals}
34 ~"Also
on the shirts of your robes
{of
those in authority - i.e. judges}
is discovered
the blood of the lives/souls
{nephesh - the 'soul' or 'life essence'}
of the
innocent/pious, oppressed ones.
You have not apprehended them of law breaking.
{Note: Jeremiah is saying, 'but by reason of all of this idolatry your flowing robes are stained with the blood of innocent people, while those who are guilty of crime go free - not charged with murder. In fact, there came a time that if you did NOT get involved in the idolatry and human sacrifice, then YOU became the sacrifice. They killed grace oriented people who loved the Lord.}

35 ~ "You say,
"Because
I am innocent, surely His anger has turned from me?
{Who ME
Lord? They are saying to Jeremiah . . .
if God
was angry would we still be here?}
Now I Myself
{God
speaking through Jeremiah}
will judge you
because you
have said,
"I have
not sinned {taken the wrong path}."
{Judgment
Already Underway - Disastrous Foreign Policy}
36 ~ "Why
do you depart/go impetuously after Egypt
to change your
foreign policy?
{They
depend upon their idols for help from the inside . . .
and
Egypt from the outside - disregarding warning in
Isaiah.
30:1-3; Is. 31:1-4}
But you will
be ashamed of Egypt
as you were
put to shame by Assyria."
{Conclusion}
37~ "Yes,
from there {Egypt}
also you will
come away with your hands on your head
{gesture both of slavery and of grieving/morning}.
For the Lord,
has rejected your confidences
{their
confidence in idols and Egypt to protect them}
and you will
never prosper/'find happiness' {tsalach} in them."
{Note: Tsalach means never have happiness, or prosper.}
