The purpose behind the website Paseo Inn is to bring an audience who is looking to enjoy an authentic experience! A variety of people will enjoy their stay whether it is a group of friends visiting, a business venture, or even a family on vacation. The Inn is located in the exquisite OKC Art District and minutes away from being in the heart of Bricktown. The Arts District has a little something for everyone with remarkable food and activities.
The steps that were taken to ensure the objectives were met include branding each page, adding detail to reinforce the website is an Airbnb, and add multimedia to engage users.
The goal for the overall design is to remain simple yet playful and inviting for the potential guests. There is a video placed on the Home page to portray some of the different attractions offered near the BnB. To remain professional, the pages are not too busy with unnecessary information. The layout remains the same throughout the site. The strategy was to use neutral colors. Therefore, the chosen colors are light blue, brown, and black to stay aesthetically pleasing to the eye and elegant. The colors also tie into the setting of the Airbnb. The typography was chosen for the audience to read what is being advertised easily. Lastly, all the links are easy to find on the left side of the page.
In the future, I would like to create a slideshow of shared photographs from customers during their stay. Linking the page to social media would also be a great way to advertise to potential guest and turn a higher profit margin. I would have liked to take personal photos of the area as well as learn how to critique my site to make it look crisper if given more time.
