The Kwymar Sector is an area of space located in the Outer Rim, encompassing a number of star systems including the Telos system. The Kwymar Sector is located relatively near to the Nembus Sector of the Outer Rim Territories, and was the site of fierce fighting between Rebel and Imperial forces during the Galactic Civil War. A stormtrooper squad led by Beilert Valance conquered many Alliance fortifications during the hasty Rebel evacuation of Picutorion, though the Rebels struck back with a raid on Doniphon. These battles were part of the campaign known as the Kwymar Suppressions, a conflict that also saw ruthless Imperial assaults on Protazak, Kestos Minor and Telos. The Kwymar Sector has seen conflict for many years; around four thousand years before the Kwymar Suppressions, the Kwymar Sector world of Telos was targeted by Sith forces on two occasions, though the planet was later restored by the Republic. In the second assault, Darth Nihilus was killed over Telos, and the remains of his flagship were blasted across the system.
