Citadel Station is a massive orbital construct located above the devastated world of Telos in the aftermath of the Jedi Civil War. From Citadel Station, the painstaking restoration of Telos is carefully managed. After Telos was bombarded by Darth Malak's fleet during following the Mandalorian Wars, it was left for dead as the Jedi Civil War began. Fortunately, when Revan defeated Malak onboard the Star Forge, the Republic was able to commence a restoration project on Telos, hoping that their success would lead to many other ruined worlds benefiting from similar aid. The Republic constructed a huge space station over Telos, spanning at least a quarter of the hemisphere. A herd of Ithorians, under the leadership of Chodo Habat, was brought in to spearhead the restoration effort, and set up operations in Citadel Station to monitor and manipulate the rebuilding below. The orbital station was built in a similar fashion to the Ithorian herd-ships that house the species on their homeworld. Citadel Station is a grid of sparse apartments, vast docking bays and entertainment facilities. Most of Citadel's workers carry out their duties in the docks, while others comprise the local Telos Security Force, under Lieutenant Dol Grenn's command. Leisure time is spent at the station's many cantinas, and the complex also boasts a complete swoop racing circuit. Tri-winged shuttles transport workers down to the planet's surface, to directly help with the restoration. The surface underneath Citadel Station is split into 'restoration zones' by a complex network of shield generators: into these zones, the Ithorians slowly introduce flora and fauna from various worlds, to gently restore Telos back to its former glory. Despite the initial smooth running of the project, the workers on Citadel Station suffered setbacks when Czerka Corporation planted itself into the operation. Sensing profit, Czerka embedded itself into Citadel Station, and constantly interfered with the Ithorians' work. More trouble arrived when Peragus II was destroyed, since Citadel Station relied on the Peragus facility for fuel. With this source gone, Citadel Station was doomed to fall from orbit, and destroy all it had worked so hard to build. Fortunately, help was on its way. The Exile and his companions arrived at Citadel Station, fresh from the conflict over Peragus, and aided both in removing Czerka from the station, and struck a deal with crime-lord Vogga the Hutt to provide a new fuel source. In addition, the Exile helped repel Darth Nihilus and his Sith invasion force, again saving Citadel Station from an untimely end. The grateful Ithorians were left to continue restoration in peace, and over time, Telos was returned to its beautiful former self.
