A Flower Girl Basket and Halo for Artessa

Functional & Wearable Art~ This page is mainly jewelry I have designed and made. My love of color led me to a facination of rocks and semiprecious gems and the study of color therapy. My jewelry is meant for more than just completing your favorite outfit but also to balance your moods and emotional needs as well.

Color Therapy & Aligning the Chakras
The chakras are the energy centers of the body. There are seven main chakras, which are linked to particular glands in the body and effect how those glands function and influence the rest of the body. These energy centers are sensitive to the light and color vibrations around us.
To align the chakras, meditate on each color or place the appropriate stone on each chakra. Start at the base of your spine or the Root chakra and work your way up. Visualize each as a spoked wheel spinning at a smooth, even pace, not too slow or not too fast. As you work your way up, visualize the Earth’s energy flowing through each chakra in a perfect line along your spine and out the top of your head to the heavens.
The 7 Chakras:
Red=root: survival & grounding, orange=sacral: sexuality, yellow=solar plexus: will power & emotions, green=heart: love, blue=throat: communication & creativity, indigo=3rd eye: spiritual sight & intuition, and violet=crown: universal consciousness.
