Starch, being biodegradably and abundant, has many uses that contribute to everyday life. Here, we will mention some stuff that starch does

Starch granules have the unique ability to gelatinize when heated in the presence of water. So people used starch to get the desired viscosity in foods such as pudding or thick soup. People also use starch for stiffening laundered fabrics and sizing paper and textiles. Since starch is biodegradable, companies manufacture biodegradable foam packaging to save the environment. Cornstarch is a source or corn syrup, of which large quantities are used in making table syrup, preservatives, ice cream, and other confections.
Starch, is a major nutrient in the human body. Starch is in the catagory of carbohydrates. It is the primary source that supplies the body with the energy it needs to function. Most edible forms of starch are potatoes, pastas, breads and rice.
