SALLY TIMMS - Little Tommy Tucker (D)
To be honest, I know nothing of Sally Timms, except that her album is called In the World of Him and that it's out on Touch And Go Records. Then again, to be honest, how much did you know about her? So we looked her up: Sally "has been collecting these songs for the past few years, the developing theme being songs written by men and sung from their perspective. They cover war, marriage, abandonment and the inability to articulate and range from the apologetic to the analytical. A dark, folk-electronica album backed by the ample and strange talents of Johnny Dowd and his band. Songs were written by Ryan Adams, Mark Eitzel, Kevin Coyne, Johnny Dowd, Jon Langford and Sean Garrison". (info: Bloodshot Records)

The mysterious Kim is only known because of his debut album Miyage, which was released on Tigersushi Records. If there's nothing to know the man by than his music, let's listen to that: here we find K.I.M. covering The Smiths.

Devandra Banhart is the protege of Michael Gira, the man who used to be in The Swans and now has his own record label (Young God Records). "Be Kind" can be found on Nino Rojo, "the companion album to Rejoicing In The Hands, which was released earlier this year".

Ah... Touch and Go, you release so much beautiful music. Pinback are back and their latest album is called Summer in Abaddon.
KRISTOFER ASTR�M - The Wild (D)
Fireside member Kristofer Astr�m is back with a new album, Loupita (out on V2). The songs are pretty stripped down and if you're looking for the name behind the female voice accompanying Kristofer: Britta Persson.
