Radio Kurtodrome 59
Radio Kurtodrome is back with half an hour of online music. One stream and downloads (D) are up for grabs. And we'll start quietly to work our way up to a funky end. Enjoy.

MM - Nightly Cares (D)
To celebrate Mm's third album Summer make good (incl. a limited edition with book) here's a free download courtesy of Insound.

THE NOTWIST - One with the freaks (D)
Most people know we're fans of The Notwist. We ourselves didn't know Neon Golden is older than Radio Kurtodrome. There's never been a Notwist track on Radio Kurtodrome! Incredible! To make up for that... enjoy "One With The Freaks".

HER SPACE HOLIDAY - My Girlfriend's Boyfriend (D)
A wonderful track from Marc Bianchi's latest album The Young Machines.

CAMERA OBSCURA - Teenager (D)
We first mentioned Camera Obscura in our Democratische 99 nominations list of 2003, but suddenly they've seem to have become hot property, so it's high time we gave them more than a mention. Underachievers please try harder is the name of the latest album by this band from Glasgow, who're closely related to Belle and Sebestian (Stuart Murdoch produced their hit single "Eighties Fan").

TV ON THE RADIO - Dreams (D)
When we chose "Satellite" as our n99 in our Democratische 99 of 2003, it was partially because we feared the band might otherwise sink into oblivion without anyone noticing. Yeah, well... how wrong we were... They now have a full album out with lots of good songs, so do check them out in the record store or on a festival near you.

LAMBCHOP - I Hate Candy (Moabeat remix) (D)
Two editions ago we treated you to two of the MP3s you can get thanks to Labels and Tonspion (go to that German site to find them all). Here's another one, a quintessential Lambchop remix.

PRAM - The Owl Service
It's been awhile since we played some Pram and looking for Camera Obscura was a good reminder (the Scottish band is signed to Merge Records in the US, as is Pram). This song can be found on The Museum of Imaginary Animals.

LADO 2 ESTREO - El mono fonk (D)
Okay, let's speed this baby up. Lado 2 Estreo (which we're able to translate as Side 2 stereo) have an album out called Sambaque torto e outros ritmos, which DJ Dolores (famous in Brazil and Belgium) co-produced. The website has a spiked banana as cover art, which is a good description of Lado 2 Estreo. The album is worth a playful listen, so why don't you visit the band's website? And visit us again in ten days or so, why don't you?
