Radio Kurtodrome 56
Radio Kurtodrome is a bit known (though 'known' is an exaggeration) for its eclectic tastes and this edition is here to prove that point. In only 30 minutes we manage to include rap, emocore, dance and alternative rock. Most of those tracks are available as downloads (you'll recognize them by the 'D').

THE STREETS - Fit But You Know It (D)
This download is courtesy of Insound, so you might be linked to their site instead of a straight link to the song. For once we won't mind that, as it's not often we're able to present you a single. "Fit But You Know It" can be found on the new Streets album A Grand Don't Come For Free.

STIJN - Ziek
"Ziek" (Dutch for 'sick') is the second single off Stijn's debut album Euphoric. Stijn (full name: Stijn Vandeputte) is from Antwerp in Belgium, unlike the stream which we found in the Netherlands (thanks, VPRO!). Yes, once again it proved hellish to promote Belgian bands. I don't know why we still bother.

!!! - Hello! Is this thing on? (D)
In June !!! (pronounced chk chk chk) will release a new album on Touch & Go Records. Today we proudly present you a preview track. The album will be called Louden Up Now.

THE SPIRIT THAT GUIDES US - Real Life Motion Picture (D)
Us European folks have already been acquainted with The Spirit That Guides Us for a few years now, but it took no less than three years before their album has been made available in the US. So that's an emocore classic for European visitors and a brand new track for American visitors then.

SONIC YOUTH - Dirty Boots (live) (D)
Sonic Youth are also going to release a new album in June. To anticipate this, here's a Sonic Youth classic in a live version. Check the band's site for more downloads.

AVRIL - French Kiss (D)
And from one classic to another: in 1989 Lil Louis surprised many people by become a number one (in the Low Countries at least) with a techno song that ended with an orgasmic woman. Fifteen years later French artist Avril makes an update of that song: less panting, more song. That's it for this edition by the way, see you soon.
