Radio Kurtodrome 43
For those of you who thought Radio Kurtodrome had forgotten about the beats, think again. Yes, this last edition in 2003 will make the balls fall out of your Christmas tree, if only there is one in your house and if you play the music loud enough.
KEVIN BLECHDOM - Binaca
Because she's free, free from hygienic responsibility. Kevin Blechdom: one Kevin, one banjo, one laptop. Result: weird fun.
LADYTRON - Blue Jeans
Here's a Ladytron track we hadn't discovered yet. But while browsing Ladytron's webshop we were suddenly pleasantly surprised.
VIVE LA FETE - Elle est l (DOWNLOAD ONLY)
Over at Vitaminic France they allow you to listen to 9 Vive La Fte songs, of which 2 are free for you to download (the others are ultra cheap by the way). Here's one of them. Careful: you'll have to download the track first if you want to listen to it, as a stream it just won't work.
ASCII DISKO - Jack Your Body To The Beat (D)
With "Aldimarkt" Ascii Disko a.k.a. Daniel Holc provided us one of the best electropunk songs of 2003. "Ich habe Angst vor den Aldimarkt, da sind die Menschen so echt" are lyrics we can relate to. Sadly that song isn't available as an MP3, but we managed to find another song from the S/T album. So enjoy it and jack your body to the beat.
SAMI KOIVIKKO - Ghostly Funk (D)
The Shitkatapult label is best known for T. Raumschmiere himself, but it's also the label for Finnish Sami Koivikko. Sami's album is called Salmiakki and his site allows you to listen to 2 bonus tracks, one of which is "Ghostly Funk".
T. RAUMSCHMIERE - Zartbitter (D)
And here's the man himself. Widely acclaimed for his latest single, "Monstertruckdriver", T. Raumschmiere (Marco Haas) founded the Shitkatapult label back in 1997. The ANTI man released the Zartbitter EP in 2001 and at the end of 2003 Radio Kurtodrome uses this MP3 at the end of the 43rd Radio Kurtodrome. Be seeing you!
