DO MAKE SAY THINK - frederica (D)
Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn... Do Make Say Think are not known for easy titles, but their music is often simply divine. From the brand new album with the title I won't repeat again, here's the opening track.

NEW WET KOJAK - Something Easy (D)
"Death 2 The Pop World" is but one of the songs we can wholeheartedly agree with on the new and recommended New Wet Kojak cd This Is The Glamarous. Here the music is heavier than on their latest EP (N4 EP), but less rock than the last album by Girls Against Boys. But in one word: good.

MATMOS - The Struggle Against Unreality (D)
Matmos have opened Bjrk concerts and have made soundtracks to gay porn movies (thus occasionally bewildering Bjrk fans). Their second album (out on Matador), The Civil War, is a collage and a clash of genres. Struggle with the band thanks to this download from Insound.

HEFNER - When Angels Play Their Drum Machines (D)
Here's an atypical song by Hefner, which you can find on Dead Media, distributed by Too Pure.

BARBARA MORGENSTERN - Aus heiteren Himmel (D)
Barbara Morgenstern (see Gudrun Gut's Monika label) is back with a DVD, Kleiner Ausschnit. One of the visible songs is this one, a must-hear pearl.

BRIGHT EYES - Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh (D)
Here's an older Bright Eyes song, from the album Fevers and Mirrors (out on Saddle Creek). For two reasons: because most people seem to think Bright Eyes have just debuted and because it's a good song.

THE CZARS - Get Used To It (remix) (D)
These Texans are capable of album (and EP) titles such as X Would Rather Listen To Y Than Suffer Through A Whole Lot Of C's and Z's, Ugly People vs. Beautiful People and The La Brea Tar Pits of Routine. Remarkable!

22 PISTEPIRKKO - Onion Soup
And now an ode to onion soup, courtesy of this nice and original Finnish combo. "Where were you, Kurtodrome, when you turned 21?" "Erm, I was at a 22 Pistepirkko concert."

RUMPLESTITCHKIN - Honey's dull (D)
If you remember the incredibly catchy "Voodoo Smile" from last week's Video of the Week or from a few Radio Kurtodromes ago (and let's be honest, there's no reason for you to forget it), you may be glad we'll be leaving you for ten days or so with the first track we ever heard from this Belgian band. Be seeing you!
