Radio Kurtodrome 29
Thirty minutes of modern music. Some songs are downloadable (D), some are streams. This is Radio Kurtodrome. Welcome!

PREFUSE 73 - Shitslime Garbage Can Vs. My MPC (D)
That this is a regular edition doesn't mean it's normal and just to prove that we'll kick off with Prefuse 73. I was pleasantly intrigued by one of their songs, so I looked for MP3s. Of course, the song I was looking for wasn't available, so this one song their label had on offer will have to do. In record form "Shitslime Garbage Can Vs. My MPC" is only available in Japan. We could've known.

THE POSTAL SERVICE - Such Great Heights (D)
Because we've done so many specials lately, I'd forgotten about this track and wondered for a few seconds why I'd bookmarked this track. Only a few seconds later I remembered this is the sort of track that you play while waiting for more from The Notwist. The Postal Service come to you through the Subpop label.

TV ON THE RADIO - Satellite (D)
Every now and then we stumble upon a track we don't know anything about, so we'll do some digging and this is what we found: they're a trio from New York, their EP has five tracks (of which this is the opening one), Brian from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a friend and collaborated on one of the tracks, the EP is called Young Liars and it's out on Touch & Go. Enough info?

PINBACK - B (D)
It's not easy to find Pinback MP3s, but this was worth our trouble. Pinback have released a new EP (whey they called Offcell) on Absolutely Kosher.

THE AMERICAN ANALOG SET - Hard To Find (D)
The American Analog Set have a new album out on the Tiger Style label. Promise of Love is the name of their fifth album and they've put eight tracks on it. What else does one need to know? Behold, true beauty!

JOHN GUILT - Red/White/Blue (D)
This is not the first time we play John Guilt on Radio Kurtodrome, John Guilt is the new name for Maestro Echoplex. "Red/White/Blue" is from John Guilt's debut album The Mirrors and Uncle Sam, which (as Uncle Sam is not a big fan) is out on the European label Munich Records.

CYANN & BEN - Siren Song (D)
And lastly Cyann & Ben who are from France. Formed in 2001, the duo first released a self-produced EP (no longer available) before signing to Gnoom Records. That's where their official debut Spring came out earlier this year. And with this "Siren Song" from Spring it's time to leave you for ten days. Until the next time!
