Radio Kurtodrome 24: Rock Werchter special
This is the first in a series of specials dedicated to summer festivals in Belgium. Rather than give you our usual 30 minutes of MP3s and streams, we'll know focus on bands playing at one of these festivals. Rock Werchter kicks off the series that'll end with a special on Les Nuits Botanique. The next festival special, Radio Kurtodrome 26, will focus on Dour. As usual, the tracks with a 'D' are downloadable. So grab your camping material and enjoy the show.

CALEXICO - Sunken Waltz (D)
66.7% of Giant Sand and 100% excellent. We've wanted to play this song for a while now, but it's not easy to combine this in a thirty-minute compilation. An hour-long compilation of great songs can be seen in Werchter: just go to the Marquee on Saturday.

GOTAN PROJECT - Chunga's revenge
Laidback and beautiful. It surprised us that it took the world so long to discover the Gotan Project, that interesting combination of electronic music and the tango. The only reason we chose this particular song is because we hadn't found it online up to now.

MASSIVE ATTACK - Live at Pinkpop
The VPRO got permission to record part of Massive Attack's concert at Pinkpop. If this is a taste of what you might expect on the grounds of Werchter on Friday, then it's really worth being there. This just got more and more intense and of course better and better. Twenty-five minutes of bliss, with thanks to Massive Attack and the VPRO.

TRICKY - Antimatter (D)
The current single of Tricky's latest output, Vulnerable comes to you in MP3 form thanks to the wonderful label Anti. As you can hear and the title suggests, Tricky has indeed become more vulnerable. A wonderful release and a reason to check him out in the Marquee on Friday.
