Radio Kurtodrome 3: "You look hurt, my dear!"
Thirty minutes of music are coming your way and actually even more since this edition is published back to back with edition 4, a special mix by one of Stereolab's members. But before it's time for that, it's time for this:

RYKSOPP - So Easy
A nice tune to start edition 3 of this radiolike show. Though we'd appreciate it if you wouldn't listen to the outro (not because it's bad or anything, but the outro to this song is also Eple's intro. So turn it off after 3'46", will you?

CHICKS ON SPEED - Fashion Rules
And switch to the return of the Chicks on Speed. Tobi Neumann provided the beats, Karl Lagerfeld the cd cover and the Chicks themselves provided... err... the fashion statement.

MELYS - Um Darllenwr Lwcus
I could've picked an easier title to pronounce or write down, but why not this song? It's Melys after all and I love Melys. Now why doesn't anyone else? (I especially like the "yeah yeah yeah" in this song.)

YEAH YEAH YEAHS - Art Star
Weak pun, I know. We got a complaint there wasn't enough yelling in Radio Kurtodrome. aRRRRRRt staRRRRR

CAPITOL K - Capitol Beat Sticky
Capitol K got our Bad Luck Award at this year's Rock Herk festival when their equipment left them in the lurch. And in case you're wondering which prize we attached to that award: well, some 'airplay' on Radio Kurtodrome of course. Capitol K's album is called Island Row and is out on XL Recordings.

MESCALITO - Rambla
We were asked to file this under 'different'. True, they play a lot of styles. We'd also like to file it under 'beautiful'. This comes from their debut album One Path in a Million (2000). I'm not sure if the ending's natural.

ENON - Natural Disasters
One band I thorougly enjoy at the moment is Enon with Jon Schmersal from Brainiac and Blonde Redhead's ex-singer. Can't go wrong, can it?

STARLIGHT MINTS - Submarine #3 [LINK BROKEN]
Talk about weak puns. Enon's first album came out on Dave Sardy's label See Thru Broadcasting. That label is now often in the public eye because it has also released The Starlight Mints' album The Dream That Stuff Was Made Of. Here's the opening track. (If you like it, you can download it here.)

THOU - Kids Do Ride [LINK BROKEN]
Did you know that Dave Sardy has produced a lot of Belgian albums? No? I did, but I didn't know there was a Belgian band on his label. Thou finishes this edition of Radio Kurtodrome and like the Mints', you can also download the track. Good news: Thou made a new album, ask for Elvis or Betty Boop in your local record shop!
