As a physical oceanographer, my research interests involve the circulation dynamics of the Kuroshio and its surrounding marginal seas (East China Sea, Yellow Sea, South China Sea and the northwest Pacific ocean). Based on in-situ CTD, ADCP and moored current meters' observations, the dynamics of ocean circulation are analyzed and modeled by the modified inverse model, diagnostic, semidiagnostic and prognostic models, MOM, as well as P-vector method. Recently, my colleagues and I have been studying the air-sea interaction during a cyclone outbreak over the Yellow and East China Seas.
