Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and have had it for over a year now. Although
the disease can be crippling, more and more new medicines are coming out to keep
that from happening. In Rheumatoid Arthritis, some of the body fluid in the joints
that is supposed to help the joints starts attacking them instead and causes them to
either erode or misshape. The reason I have this page is to inform people about this
disease, especially young people like myself. I didn't realize until after I got this disease
that it effects children as young as 18 months, or even younger, if I had this at 17 year,
I would hate to think of how an 18 month old would get through it. It hardly ever bothers
me anymore, thanks to medicine, but I still think it is important that people know about
it. It is not yet known what causes this disease, but it has not been linked to heredity, but
more studies are always being done. Please visit the site RA Academy, they have some
very useful information and can better inform you of the medical reasons behind this disease.
