Abt 1781 (Lin Co Court of sessions, 1:206-7) James Kincaid married Abigail Lambert Oct 26, 1777 in Pownalborough He was listed as a shipwright of Pownalborough on Dec 28, 1774 when he purchased 75a in Pownalborough along the Sheepscot River from Samuel Kincaid of Pownalborough, yeoman (Lin Co deed 12:30) He served as a sargeant in Capt. Daniel Scott�s Pownalborough militia company which participated in the battle with the British ship Rainbow, 10-12 Sep 1777 (Revolutionary Rolls, MA Archives, 36:223) Children: Alexander.
