| Alexander was married twice 1st in Wiscasset to Pheobe Colby and 2nd to Sybel Hutchins ( Sybel may have been married prior to this marriage to a Dolbier.) At some point Alexander and Sybel moved to Winnebago, Co IL. In 1804 Alexander sold 75 acres on the Sheepscot River to Samuel Munsey of Wiscasset. This 75 acres had been owned by Alexander's father, James. Alexander moved to Gilman Pond Plantation in Lexington in the early 1820's. Alexander's son, James, and grandson, Edwin, move to Rocton, Winnebago Co., Illinois in 1849. Edwin's wife, Catherine, died in 1886. Source: Maine families in 1790 Volume 6 page, 265 |
