Introduction:

The purpose of a webquest introduction is to orient the learner and raise the interest of the learner be its: relevancy to future learning goals, relevancy to the learner's past experience, importance because of global implications, urgency due to the need for a timely solution, or entertainment, because the leaner will play a role or make something.jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

                               

Task

The purpose of the task block is to describe what the learner will have accomplished at the end of the exercise. It could be a product, like a PowerPoint presentation, a HyperStudio stack, or a webpage.

Process

The process block is part where the steps for the completion of the task is spelled out in a short clear fashion. Learning advice and interpersonal process advice can also be included in this section.

Resources

The resource block in a WebQuest is a list of the web pages the instructor has located that helps the learner accomplish the task. It can be a separate block or included in the process. Resources are preselected by the teacher so the learners focus their time and attention on the topic rather than surfing. It is not necessary that all resources for the students be restricted to those found on the web. Books, audio tapes, laser discs, or interviews could also be used. A sample rubric for evaluation web sites by the instructor has been included.

Evaluation

An evaluation block alerts the learner to what the instructor expects and can be designed specifically to match the kind of task given to the learner.

Conclusion

Conclusion sections provide an opportunity for the learner to summarize the experience and generalize what was learned. It provides the learner with a sense of closure.
