The biggest problem faced by the intellectual property industry is the sharing of intellectual property between several users and the use of one licensed intellectual property copy on several machines. This sharing causes a loss of revenue to the intellectual property manufacturer. The sharing may manifest itself in many ways including:

• A intellectual property CD can be used to install the intellectual property on several machines belonging either to one or multiple individuals
• A intellectual property download can be shared between many users and many machines

Most of the methods to combat this rely on a password i.e. on Microsoft software. This is easily defeated if the password is provided with the CD.

Singleinstall.com has developed a foolproof method to ensure that any intellectual property can be only installed on one machine. This revolutionary method will provide you with an easy to use method to ensure that no revenue is lost due to illegal sharing of intellectual property.

The system is based upon a uniquely but deterministic and different password for each machine. Let’s look at some potential scenarios for the use of this system:

1. intellectual property downloads: When a user installs the downloaded intellectual property on a particular computer, a password is requested for install. This password would be different for every machine but can be uniquely determined by our system. The password can be obtained by paying the license fee for the intellectual property. This password will enable the completion of the installation on this computer. The payment could occur either in an online fully automated manner or by using a telephone. Please note that this same password will not work on a different machine.
2. intellectual property CD: User could be provided intellectual property CDs at no cost. When a user installs the intellectual property on the CD on a particular computer, a password is requested for install. The password can be obtained as above. This allows the CD itself to be used by multiple persons but each person must pay a license fee to install the intellectual property.
