Fishing takes place off Nabematsubara Beach. Directions: Nabematsubara beach is in Taimei town in Amakusa. It is 1.5km from Route 501 Tachiuo Fishing Minamata 6,000\ per person for 6 people, 8 people limit (1,000\ per extra person) Yatsushiro Touristic Fishing It costs 30,000\ for up to 5 people (5,000\ per extra person). You use traditional methods to catch shrimp, octopus etc. There is then a BBQ on an uninhibited nearby island (Mitsu Shima) where you can enjoy your catch. The boat trip lasts 3 1/2 hours. Returning, you can take the 1324 bus from the ferry port to arrive at the station for 13:44. Kuratake (Amakusa) Famous for fishing (sea bream). You can hire a boat for 7 hours. The boats set sail early - 5:30am/6:00am and dock around 1pm. It costs between 15,000\ and 25,000\ (depending on the type of fish you want to catch) for up to 4 people. Squid fishing Uto City (April to June) Here you experience traditional squid fishing using a cage for 5,000\ per person. You can take home the squid you catch. Phone 0964 270031 Fishing Itsuwa Town Fishing is possible all year round fishing for sea bream etc. It costs 16,000\ for 3 people, sea bream fishing is more expensive - it costs 28,000\ for 3 people. 0969 33 0021 Utase Boats (April to November) The Utase boats stand out from the other fishing trips because you get to sail in a 400 year old (replica) vessel - with large wooden masts and billowing sheet sails. The trip starts at around 10:30 and finishes for about 3pm. A large fish lunch is also provided. Boats can be hired from 40,000\ (12 people per boat). It is also possible to reserve individual places.
