Uncle Joes Logistics was formed by Uncle Joe 5 years ago with the goal of helping good producers connect with their purchasing customers. In that time, we have grown from serving our local New England area to all 48 continental states. We offer both refrigerated trailer and dry storage trailer and flatbed transportation services. So, whatever your freight, Uncle Joe can get it there!

About Our Website
The purpose of this website is to streamline our accounts payable process by giving our vendors and partners a way to submit invoices electronically. Processing payments promptly and explaining them to our customers clearly has become increasingly important as we have grown, and we are hoping that this website is a scalable solution to that need. Believe that faster processing times will strength our vendor relationships and encourage new ones.
To that end we have tried to make the invoicing process as quick and easy as possible. Once creating an account our vendors account information will be kept so there is no need to reenter it every time. Directly from the Home page there is a link to a list of currently submitted invoices for easy reviewal. Directly above the list is a link to submit a new invoice for convenience. No hoop jumping required!

Website Design
Concept
We wanted to create a site that was easy to use and easy to see. To that end each page has the same overall design, our logo at the top with navigation links and then the body. Our thought is that the consistent header will help the viewer gain a sense of comfort as they navigate between pages, like a grounding point of focus as the body changes. The consistent navigation links will help the viewer navigate the website easily. The green and gray color theme should be easy on the eyes, with enough contrast to break up the page while not being distracting.
Home Page
Gives a quick explanation for the purpose of this website. As we look to roll this out to our vendors and partners we hope the explanation will help encourage adoption.
Invoices
Nothing fancy, just a list of currently submitted invoices. Once a login script is working, we are looking to include the users account information atop, their company name for example.
Invoice Creation
The invoice creation process is broken into two main sections, Trip Details and Invoicing Amount. Invoice entry should go smoother with a clear separation between the two. The form supports both per mile and flat rate billing.
Login Screen
The login in screen is basic and a link to it can be found at the top of every page, simple and sweet.
Create Login
This is how the user enters their company details that we will use to pay invoices to. Everything is lined-up well for easy fill-out.

Feature Updates
There is still some functionality that we want to work on incorporating into our website before we release it to our vendors and partners. At current the login script is not working, once that is finished a couple additions will be made to other pages. For one, signed in users will have their name displayed in the banner. Another appearance of the company name will be on the Invoice List below the main navigation. Both additions will let the user know they are signed in correctly.
The create invoice process is not currently set up to post to a database, something we are working on. On the create invoice form we would like to add a total box to display a calculation of the invoicing amount. Hopefully that total will help the user find data entry errors before submission. All-in-all nothing to major stopping us from releasing the site.
