| Poem for My Friend I cant remember a time when you weren't a part of my life. You have always been the glue.. the substance that holds the many scattered pieces of my life together. You are my friend.. my sister.. my soulmate. You seem to sense my moods almost before I do. You know what I'm going to say before the words are spoken. You know exactly what to say when I need you.. and at what point to stand back.. and let me reach within myself. You're proud of my successes.. and you grieve for me in my failures. At times you're so much a part of me.. that I forget that we are not one.. but rather two seperate individuals. We're so alike in many ways.. and yet our differences are vast. But even in our differences we seem to always find that common thread that holds us together. You bring to my life a rare and beautiful friendship that few people are lucky enough to find. I thank God I did.. For all of all the many things he's blessed me with I count this to be among the very best.. I have you for my friend. |
