This is the official homepage of Kuio Games, a newly formed association of two friends from Paraguay (that’s in South America, in case you didn’t know). We dedicate all of our free time (most of our life), to the creation of stupid, senseless but really cool adventure games. So far we have only one game completed, which is now finally available for downloading, after a long period of hype that drove some people (us) to hysteria. Of course, with your moral support (i.e. money...), we can start Part II of our great game.
12-Nov-2000: Page is officially up. Game is not available yet for downloading, but will be very soon.
12-Dec-2000: Our definition of very soon was a little mixed up, but anyways, the game is now finally up in the server. Just scroll down a little and you will see the download link. We could have put a download link right here to save you time, but we figured out that it wouldn't save us time!
Rest in Peace... you moron!!!
Part I: Stuck in a bar
This is the story of a man who has a very dark secret. He “sees” dead people. He can talk to dead people. And, unfortunately for him, he can also smell dead people. But that’s not the worst of his problems. He has to help them, so they can go to heaven, play the harp, and all that crap. That’s the only way he can save his very soul.
This is a short game (about 10 minutes gameplay), but really worth the download, if we may so ourselves. It’s a traditional point-and-click, first-person, old-fashioned, Sierra-style, graphical adventure. We hope you like it. If you want us to continue making this great game, just email us.
Download the game manual
Download the game (700 Kbytes download, small!!!) (There's important information in the readme.txt file)
A computer: More specifically a Pentium 133 Mhz, with 16 Mb of RAM, with Windows 95 or later installed (This is a rough estimate, we really have NO idea what this game needs to work!)
Visual Basic 6 Run-time files: you only need this if you don’t have it installed already. It’s a 1 megabyte download. To find out if you already have it, go to Start, Find, and search for the file msvbvm60.dll. If you have it, then you don't need to download it.
About us
Fernando Martinez: Born November 12. Programmed the whole thing. He’s a real genius (at least, HE thinks so). He’s also in the graphics department, and the script department, and, well, pretty much everything else. Email this guy. Please.
Elias Cohenca: Also born November 12. Despite this, they have absolutely nothing in common. Helped programming the game engine and composed the background music. Provided countless bottles of Coke, and assorted foods during the long programming hours. A really great guy. Fernando is very happy of being able to work with him. Oh, and he also designed and is webmaster of this page...You can email him too
