| Thiis class is designed to prepare students for algebra in high school. Students will begin a more formal study of mathematics with more complex topics in pre-algebra. Topics covered include: operations with integers and rational numbers; forms of numbers and representation on number line; arithmetic & geometric sequences; data exploration and statistics; probability and combinatorics; basic geometry; solving more complex linear equations and inequalities; graphing on a Cartesian Coordinate System; and ratios, rates, and proportions. Emphasis will be on problem solving, strategies, and understanding concepts underlying the skills. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
