The Santa
Fe never served San Antonio nor Austin. I have a lot of fond memories of
following the Santa Fe main between Temple and Fort Worth in the 1970s
when me and my Dad would go to visit my in north Texas. Today it is the
other way around when I take Amtrak to visit my family I follow the highway.
