7 lbs., 6 oz.

Nicknames through the years: Merk, Gog, Kenny, K, Princess, Blossom
As an infant Kendra was very colicky. She cried for hours on end. We spent many nights taking turns walking the floor and singing to her just to get her to sleep. But as soon as she was put in her crib, the eyes were wide open again. We found many a night short on sleep.
She was as accident prone at 1 year old as she is now at 25. She was always falling into the coffee table whe she was learning to walk. Her mouth was always bleeding. At 25, she likes to test the stove burners with her palm just to see if they are hot. Sometimes it is very hot!!!! Check out the scars.
Kendra has always been a beach bum baby. For 25 years she has been playing in the sand at Amberley Beach, being buried up to her neck, falling over boats in the dark and she also spent hours in the water, skiing, tubing and swimming as long as the health unit had not red flagged the beach.
Kendra has always been a very caring and generous person, but if for some reason you want to borrow her car, be sure it is not a rainy night. She likes to leave the windows open during heavy rain storms (but only on the drivers side) just prior to loaning it to her mother.
Kendra belonged to many groups as a child. Brownies, Guides, bowling, baseball teams and majorettes. Occasionally she did well in bowling and got to the provincial playdowns, but many times that ball would not stay out of the gutter. She belonged to Wingham Canadettes Majorette Corp for 9 years and won many trophies and ribbons. She got to participate in the Memorial Day parade in Michigan for several years and met many new friends from the states.
In High school she was treasurer for the student council, prefect, class representative, on dance committees and volunteered as a candy striper at the hospital.
Kendra met Todd the summer before grade 10. I remember seeing them sitting at the dining room table holding hands and seeing stars in their eyes, but thinking (out loud) "Kendra you must tell the other guy, its over." Since then they have been inseparable and it's been 10 years now. They are BEST FRIENDS.
She graduated from F.E. Madill (Wingham High School) with an Ontario Scholarship in 1995. After 5 years of hard work and hardly ever coming home she graduated from the University of Waterloo in October 2000 with a Bachelor of Mathematics and Honours Chartered Accountancy and a Masters of Accountancy. In November 2000, with extreme delight we learned she passed the UFE exam. For the first time in Kendra's life she recieved two dozen red roses from the two most favorite men in her life, Todd and her dad. She did her co-op during university at Moore Stephens Cooper Molyneux LLP for four co-op terms and worked there for one year after completing school.
Kendra is looking forward to living in London at Todd's bachelor apartment (where she doesn't know how she will ever fit her wardrobe into her half of the closet), starting her new life and a new job at Neal, Pallett and Townsend. In early 2002 she will have completed her 30 months of technical training and will finally be able to call herself a C.A.
Special thanks to Lynda for pictures and the write up!
