The blasters favoured by Jango Fett, the WESTAR-34
pistols were custom-made to suit the famous bounty
hunter in his dangerous line of work.
Jango Fett's twin WESTAR-34 pistols were designed
for brief but intense surprise attacks at close range.
Jango favoured agility and precision over high capacity,
so his pistols were sleek with a small gas and power
cell cartridge at the back. The pistols were made of an
expensive dallorian alloy, and could withstand
sustained fire-heating that would melt any ordinary
blaster pistol.
Jango carried two WESTAR pistols in holsters on each thigh, where they could be protected further and drawn instantly. When Obi-Wan Kenobi attempted to apprehend the bounty hunter on Kamino, Jango drew his blasters and attacked the Jedi. Despite the WESTAR-34's accuracy, Obi-Wan was able to deflect Jango's bolts. During the fight, Jango lost one of his blasters, and only just managed to escape with his life. He flew straight to Geonosis, and didn't have time to find a replacement. A battle broke out in the Geonosian execution arena, where Jango's remaining pistol was responsible for the deat of Coleman Trebor. However, Jango's pistol was destroyed by Jedi Master Mace Windu, seconds before the death of Jango himself. |
