| When an opulent palace and vast wealth just wasn't enough, the Ubrikkian luxury sail barge made sure a Hutt had the best, most comfortable ride to be seen in. The Ubrikkian sail barge was a huge, repulsorlift pleasurecraft which could be used over water, sand or any relatively flat surface. It could reach speeds of one hundred kilo- meters per hour, with a maximum flight ceiling of ten meters. However, by relying purely on the massive sails atop the craft, the sail barge could cruise at a leisurely thirty kilometers per hour. These sails could also be retracted when required. The Ubrikkian sail barge needed a crew of twenty six to operate, and could hold up to five hundred passengers and two thousand metric tons of cargo. Though some sail barges were modified to provide extra defence for their wealthy owners, the Ubrikkian model came equipped with a single heavy blaster cannon. Sail barges became the preferred mode of transportation for the Hutts. As well as providing them with a luxury transport for them and their retinue, sail barges were easy to customise for their huge bulk and huge needs. In fact, many customers brought only a sail barge chassis, in order to completely customise it. Once such customised barge was owned by Bogga the Hutt: he managed to create a spaceworthy sail barge, and used it to travel through the Stenness system. Other Hutts had less grandoise barges, such as Jabba the Hutt, whose sail barge, the Khetanna, was used to negotiate the deserts of Tatooine. |
