| Rothana Engineering created a variation of the LAAT/i Republic Gunship to be designated as a command gunship. The new gunship was used after the outbreak of war on Geonosis. The black-hued command gunship was a powerful war machine used to deploy and direct clonetroopers in battle. The command gunship was able to swoop over the battlefield to relay information to ground-based troops. Outfitted with an impressive arsenal of weapons - even more than the already- heavily armed attack gunship - the command gunship proved instrumental throughout the Clone Wars. Jedi Generals Yoda and Mace Windu rode in a command gunship during the wars, along with a squad of clonetroopers, in order to reach their destination in safety. |
