A temperate world orbited by no less than eighteen moons and natural satellites, Bogden suffered from the natural elements and a siesmic environment, as well as a less-natural criminal element. Because of the passage of Bogden's moons in close proximity to the planet, the surface was literally pulled apart by the gravitational tides. Several times a day, the land moved and swayed as moons passed over and under the planet. The various beings who called Bogden home had to learn to walk and maintain their balance as the ground shifted underneath them. One of Bogden's moons, Kohlma, served as the homeplanet for the Bando Gora, led by the ex-Jedi, Komari Vosa. Kohlma was a graveyard moon, as it was used as a burial ground for the natives of the system during a catastrophic war. Ruins of the old graveyards still stood, blanketing much of Kohlma's rocky terrain. A vast funeral barge system that once carried the dead to their crypts was converted by the Bando Gora to transport slaves to Vosa's lair. Storms and thick clouds shrouded the moon and secreted the Bando Gora's operations. It was on Kohlma that Jango Fett finally tracked down Komari Vosa after taking part in a bounty hunt devised by a man named Tyranus - who was actually Count Dooku, aiming to use whoever killed Vosa as a template for a new cloning project to be carried out on Kamino. Jango defeated Vosa, though it was Tyranus who finished her off with a powerful Force choke. He then told Jango his plan. The bounty hunter accepted, on the condition that he could have the first clone unaltered as his own son. Fett collected Zam Wesell - who had aided him in the hunt - and left the Bogden system for Kamino. |
