Zev Senesca was a highly-decorated member of the
Rebel Alliance, though during the Battle of Hoth, he
became one of Rogue Squadron's first casualties.

Zev grew up on Kestic Station, a free-trade outpost
near Bestine, with his parents. The Senesca family
were all sympathetic to the Alliance, and used the
outpost to supply the Rebels with arms. However, the
Empire discovered their gun-running scheme, and
sent the Star Destroyer
Merciless to destroy the station.
Though Zev escaped, his parents were killed in the
explosion. Zev then joined the Rebellion.

He soon became an ace pilot, holding off TIE fighters
during the Rebel evacuation of the Alis Point base, and eventually notched up an impressive 48 kills. Zev later served at the Echo Base outpost on Hoth, and was assigned to the new Rogue Squadron based there. When the Rebel snowspeeders were adapted to the freezing temperatures of Hoth, Zev embarked on a rescue mission to locate Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, who had both been trapped outside the base.

When the Empire foiund the Rebel base, Zev - flying as Rogue 2 - helped the Alliance evacuate by attempting to destroy the Imperial ground assault. Zev tried to copy Luke Skywalker's tactic of tripping the Imperial walkers with the snowspeeder's tow cable, but his speeder was shot down. Zev died on the battlefield.
