Moff Jerjerrod was a non-ambitious Imperial officer who happily controlled a small sector of Imperial space. He was then chosen as the commander of the second Death Star, a position that was far removed from his earlier work. Jerjerrod was born on the planet Tinnel IV, where he established his base of power. Soon after, he was given control over the Quanta sector. After a few years in his new role, Jerjerrod was again promoted, this time to a position above the moon of Endor. After the hubris that saw the end of the last Death Star commander, Moff Tarkin, Emperor Palpatine wanted a relatively unknown figure to oversee his new Death Star project. Thus, Jerjerrod was given the cover position of Director of Imperial Energy Systems. In reality he became the commander of the second Death Star. In his new role, Jerjerrod had the unenviable job of reporting the second Death Star's construction progress to his superiors - his superiors being Darth Vader and the Emperor himself. When construction fell behind schedule, Vader was dispatched to get Jerjerrod's crews working faster. The second Death Star was still not completed when the Rebel Alliance attacked, though the Emperor had made sure its defences were operational. Jerjerrod was placed in command of the Death Star's superlaser, and destroyed numerous Rebel starships with the powerful weapon. However, the unfinished battle station's defences were not able to hold the Rebels back, and they managed to destroy the main reactor. Jerjerrod was killed aboard the station, as he prepared to fire on the moon of Endor in a last ditch assault. |
