Jedi Master Kit Fisto was a shining example of the important role non-humans
played in both the Jedi Order and the Republic. A Nautolan from Glee Anslem,
Kit Fisto was strong with the Force, and an able warrior.

The amphibious Kit was brough to Coruscant at an early
age to begin his Jedi training, developing well-balanced
skills. As a Knight, he earned the respect of the Jedi Council
by undertaking seemingly impossible missions, completing
them with exceptional competence. Though he could only
speak his native tongue underwater, he could communicate
in Basic. Kit proved to be a valuable negotiator and diplomat,
even becoming adviser to the Supreme Chancellor of the
Republic. Fisto was not just a diplomat; when negotiations
turned aggressive, Kit proved he was a deadly adversary on the
battlefield. He was able to mix impressive and graceful lightsaber
techniques with powerful Force manipulation. He had a strong focus in
battle, helped by the fact that his eyes had no lids, which allowed him
to concentrate further.

When Kit became a Jedi Master, he took over the training of Bant
Eerin, after the padawan's last Master, Tahl, died. Kit was part of the
two hundred strong Jedi task force assembled by Mace Windu to
rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi on Geonosis. The Jedi were faced with thousands of battle droids in a Geonosian execution arena: only eighteen were left standing, among them Kit Fisto. Just as it looked as if these survivors would follow their comrades into death, Master Yoda and the Army of the Republic launched their attack. Kit was able to escape the arena in a Republic Gunship with Mace, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Yoda. The battle was only just beginning, and Kit was given command of a clonetrooper squadron. He led his troops into battle, and helped force the Seperatists off Geonosis.

The battle marked the start of the Clone Wars, in which Kit Fisto fought as a General in the Republic Army. He was present on Kamino to uncover a traitor before they could poison the Republic's troops, and saved the life of fellow Jedi Aayla Secura when she was knocked into Kamino's oceans during a struggle with the traitor. Later in the Wars, Kit was paired with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Ord Cestus, where the two Jedi uncovered a deadly new type of bio-battle droid being created in the planet's foundries. However, even the greatest Jedi Masters could not hope to achieve victory in every battle: despite his skill, Kit Fisto was killed shortly before the Clone Wars ended, three years after the Battle of Geonosis.
