Durge was one of the most notorious bounty hunters
to make his presence known during the final decades
of the Republic. He battled the Republic in the Clone
Wars, and took particular delight in eliminating its
clone soldiers.

Durge held a long-standing grudge against the
Mandalorians, and made it his personal mission to
wipe out the elite shocktroopers. He also killed Jedi
Knights hundreds of years before the Clone Wars.
However, Durge was badly injured while attempting to
collect a bounty on the Mandalorian leader, and was
forced to spend millennia in hibernation.

While Durge was recovering in stasis, the Mandalorians were defeated by the Jedi Knights. When he reappeared, Durge found the only sucessor to the Mandalorian  legacy was Jango Fett, though he had been killed in the  first battle of the Clone Wars. However, he lived on in the thousands of clones used by the Army of the Republic. Thus, Durge developed a hatred for the clonetroopers, and joined the ranks of the Confederacy.

The bounty hunter became Count Dooku's right-hand man, as Jango Fett had been before him. Durge teamed up with the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress, and struck back at the clonetroopers. As well as causing trouble for the Republic above Naboo, Durge ran into Boba Fett while in Dooku's employ. He realized Fett was Jango's clone son, and attempted to kill him. However, events transpired against Durge, and Fett got away. Durge continued to fight in the Clone Wars, and killed four Jedi on Queyta soon after wiping out the Gungan colonists of Ohma-D'un. The Gungans on Ohma-D'un had been killed by a biological weapon unleashed by Durge, though it was a weapon which also had an antidote. Despite Durge's best efforts, Obi-Wan Kenobi escaped with the antidote after a battle with the bounty hunter and Ventress.
