Mystery #1 The Curious Case of Thomas Maxwell
He died in January of 1882 aboard the ship Benalder. The death was ruled a suicide. But why would someone commit suicide from a ship lying in harbor? And was the body ever recovered? Click here to read more about this curious case.
Mystery #2, My great, great grandmother has been my biggest unsolved mystery.
Her name was Elizabeth Gitton. She was born near Badger, Shropshire, England. In 1867 she married in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. How and why was she in Fredericton? If you have any ideas of how I could track down information about
her trip across the ocean I'd be really grateful! This is a mystery that has been bugging me for a number of years now.

This photo was among the possessions of Harry M. Beach. Based on the photographer's imprint, W. D. Thomson, London, it dates back to 1867-1869. On
the back of the photo is a penciled notation which no one seems to be able to decipher. What do you think it could be?
