Hello Dear Hearts!!!!

I know this finds you all well!  :)

I'm getting my work done here at my desk this morning so I can leave on out to Garden to do some grocery shopping.  Got my menu and list made a few days ago.  This being Friday, the kids are getting ready for work and I smell breakfast cooking.  Isn't it GREAT to have big guys that can know their own way around the kitchen?  YES!!  :)  They're not two years old any more and not high maintainance.  LOL

Have been getting work done outside.  Cleaning and tossing and mowing.  We've had some old vehicles sitting outside for a long time that will never get repaired, and I had a nearby salvage yard come get them.  YES!!!  All they do is attract snakes.  Aubrey came after the car that we've given her to use and so our yard doesn't look like a salvage yard anymore.  LOL

Since the garden spot has been overtaken with bind weed I had the boys take down the posts, wire and gate, and the compost pile fence too.  Now I need to have some of them to dig up the bricks that was used for a pathway, we'll use them someplace else.  It's good to have all that cleaned out.  Michael made a palet to lay all the posts on, they'll be used another time.  I want to at least set out some tomatoes, spinich and onions and it's getting late for even that.

Pat's been working a lot of overtime the last couple of weeks.  Someone has been ill at work, and another has been detailed partime at another "mom and pop" place to the West of us, so it's left the staff short.  He's enjoyed having the overtime, but he started getting run down, and has needed to lay back a bit so he doesn't become ill.

One of the markets in town has a sale on chicken breast for $0.69 a lb. so I ordered 100 pounds of it to put into the freezer.  It'll be here on Monday.  Won't see that price for the rest of the year, and it WILL all be used.  :)  Have been searching for some new recipes that call for chicken breast.  They can be boned and made ready for the grill nicely also.  Need to get some propane for the grill.

Sarah had her head stuck in her closet for part of the day yesterday emptying and cleaning it out while she was doing laundry, coming out ocassionally with a runny nose, getting rid of all the dust.  Our guys don't do well with dust.   We don't have central heating and cooling and so we're always trying to stay on top of it in the house.

Joseph came home yesterday to say that he lost his lunch box someplace.  He had a long face like he'd lost a long time friend.  :)  While I'm in Garden today I'll pick him up another container.

I need the kids to wash and wax my van.  They gave it a wash a few days ago, without the wax job, so that's next on the agenda.

Emma just walked in and asked for the fixings for blackberry cobbler while I was at the market.  Wouldn't that be good with some home made vanilla ice cream?  Hummmmm.....just added it to my grocery list.

Well, Carol, did you get the bottom of your oven cleaned out?  She got a new stove recently and placed some aluminum foil on the bottom to find that it melted onto the bottom of the stove.  I've never heard of that, have any of you?  Well, it's disheartening to have a new appliance messed with.  I've never heard of foil doing that.  I have also used foil on the bottom of my oven over the years, never to have that happen.

Did all of you Moms have a nice Mothers Day?  We had a good time at Jeanies with dinner that was grilled.  Afterwards we all kicked back, Pat and Eddie both took a nap and it was a laid back afternoon.  Pat had brought home flowers for me a few days before.  Some think that cut flowers a a waste of time and money....Jeanie would rather get something like tools to help her fix the house.... LOL  but I always enjoyed the beauty of flowers, even though they may not last long.  I usually hang them upside down to dry, when they've seen better days, and use them throughout the year.

We are Pride and Prejudice fans here at our house.  Emily has all of Jane Austens works in book form, and we've got just about every version of P & P to date, from the black and whites to the latest.  Sarah got Emily the newest remake of the show for an early birthday gift...we've been enjoying it.  The last one we bought was two DVD's long, this one is only one, but very well done.  It has Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen and Donald Southerland in it.  It's a good movie, and would be worth your time to rent and watch.
Miss Austen wrote that story when she was 21 and laid it aside until after she published "Sense and Sensibility".  She really was a talented YOUNG author, was she not?  :)

Psalm 31:24 says:
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 33:18 says:
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy

Psalm 42:5 says:
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Psalm 119:116
says:
Uphold me according unto your word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Father, I ask You to help us NOT TO BE ASHAMED OF OUR HOPE IN YOU.  We will HOPE in You, Lord.  You said that Your eye was upon those of us that fear you and hope in Your mercy.  THANK YOU.  Without hope our hearts become sick.  You said that our FAITH is the substance of things HOPED for, and the evidence of things not seen.  Lord, I ask You to help us to keep our eye on You.  YOU are the author and finisher of our faith Lord, help us to remain steadfast in all that you have and ARE teaching us every day of our lives.  I declare that none of us will live in quiet despiration, because we look to You, You are our FAITHFUL ALMIGHTY GOD.  You know the layabrinths of our hearts, Father, and I ask YOU to unfold everything that would try to rob us of our hope, expose and remove it, in the Name of Jesus.

I'm Sending Love to You All!!!
