Jeanie and I entered this recipe last year at the local July 4th festivities.  It took first place, Wanna give it a try?  :)
Pamaw's Fruit Sherbet
       4 Quarts                                                     6 Quarts
Juices of  8 oranges                                   Juice of 12 oranges
Juices of 3 lemons                                     Juice of 5 lemons
1 � 12 oz can of apricot or peach nectar   1� cans of nectar

Blend in blender:
1 � 20 oz crushed pineapple                       1 �  - 20 oz cans of crushed pineapple
3 ripe bananas                                           5 ripe bananas

Have on hand:
2 pints heavy whipping cream                  3 pints of heavy whipping cream
                    3-4 cups  simple syrup                          5-6 cups of simple syrup to desired sweetness

Simple Syrup
In a quart jar combine 4 cups of sugar and enough water to fill the jar. 
Stir in a pint jar 2 cups sugar and fill with water and stir until dissolved.

Combine juice mixture, pineapple banana mixture and simple sugar.  Stir in whipping cream. Pour into ice cream freezer and mix to the desired stiffness.  An adequate time for an electric freezer is about 15 minutes.  Pack well until serving.  Makes one gallon � or 6 quarts respectively.
