About
Jack Itis Started out as a radio DJ when in college studying journalism.  He had originally wanted to be a rock star, but had been told all the positions for "Rock Star" had been filled.  Dishearted but not broken, he decided to make out on his own.  He started the band "Elmore and the Grunts", calling himself Elmore.  Finally, his girlfriend at the time told him the reason she was breaking up with him was because the review of his band's first EP said that the singer (Itis) had no talent.  In other words, she left him because he sucked.

After that revalation, Jack left "Elmore and the Grunts" and switched his major to journalism.  He shunned the mainstream and devoted his free time to listening to records from unknown and underground groups like "Gary7", "Fear of Clowns", "S.K.U.M." and "Blatant Abuse of Technology".

It was at this time Itis met Arthur Conley, and the dream of KSqueeze radio were born.  They started KSQZ Radio, which quickly became the best radio station in at least two blocks.  After years of struggling to survive, the now famous incident with the popular DJ Dr. Speugh shut KSQZ's doors for good.

These were the darkest times for Jack.  He was broke, owed 90 girls his half of $10.37 (each) and could barely sustain a job, much less a relationship.  He and Arthur weren't speaking, and more often than not, when he spoke with women, he would get mace instead of a phone number.

"I often thought about ending it all.  I jumped off a bridge once, but only ended up at the sewage treatment plant.  They cleaned me up as best they could and even offered me a job.  But if I couldn't even succeed at suicide, how could I be a garbageman?" - Itis

Itis persisted, and found work making commercials for trendy and controversial products.  Itis hated it, but it was the only way he could manage to pay his portion of the $1400 settlement against KSQZ for Dr. Speugh's crime of impersonating a doctor.

All that suffering paid off though.  When KSQZ was brought back to life, Itis had plenty of fuel for a new show,
Beneath the Layers.

"They say that great art can only be created by a tortured soul.  I've had enough torture and torment that I might very well be the greatest artist of our time." - Itis
